CML Industrial insulations and Cladding

The Brief

CML stores and delivers a wide variety of food products across the ambient and chilled temperature ranges, while it also offers a series of added value solutions to their clients.  PLG Insulations were awarded the contract to carry out the insulation and cladding of plant equipment and subsequent external to internal refrigeration pipework at CML Foods in Telford. This project for PLG Insulations required the use of both our insulation and cladding skills to deliver the solution the client required.

Project

Working for the refrigeration contractor, Star Refrigeration, PLG used specified PIR/Mylar material to provide an efficient and long lasting insulation system with a robust vapour seal, vital in the prevention of ice formation in cold systems. The Insulated pipework was clad externally in an Aluzinc finish to protect from both damage and the weather. Internally white food safe metal was used to clad the insulation to protect the internal clean environment and to provide a pleasing aesthetic finish.

The project was carried out to an exacting specification, and PLG ensured the use of the correct and quality materials throughout. The project did present challenges on the way with both access and inclement weather conditions making progress challenging at times. However the PLG site management team drew upon their knowledge gained from previous projects for star refrigeration to deliver the project on time and to the correct specification.
